SMASH IT

An inter-school badminton tournament ‘SMASH IT’ was organized by our esteemed institution S.S. Children Academy, Kanth Road, under the aegis of Basscity Sahodaya Complex, Moradabad on 16 and 17 May 2024. The recent badminton tournament featured intense competition across various age categories, specifically Under 14 and Under 17, in both singles and doubles events for both boys and girls. The tournament was held at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose stadium (Sonakpur Stadium) showcased promising young talent and was a testament to the growing popularity and skill level of badminton among youth. About 22 schools all over the city enthusiastically participated in the event. The event was started by our much-respected chief guest CDO Shri Sumit Yadav sir and our honorable Ma’am principal Dr. Babita Agrawal by lighting the lamp followed by ‘Saraswati Vandana’ sung by the school’s choir group. As the melody of the chorus was echoing the court everybody seeked blessings from ‘Ma Saraswati’.
The match began with a lot of enthusiasm displayed not only by the players but also the spectators. Their relaxed and flexible grips, the shuttle flights and their avoiding the wobbling of the shuttle in flight kept us all awestruck. Badminton is quite a workout for the mind. The game requires constant thinking and planning and that is what we all could witness whilst they played.

The tournament concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, presided over by the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Budhpriya Singh, AD Basic, Moradabad. The ceremony was a fitting end to an exciting and competitive event, celebrating the hard work and achievements of the young athletes.
The tournament not only highlighted the remarkable talent in the Under 14 and Under 17 categories but also underscored the importance of youth sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and competitive spirit. The event was a great success, thanks to the organizers, hosts, coaches, participants, and the enthusiastic audience who supported the young athletes.

This tournament has set a high standard for future events and continues to inspire young badminton players to pursue excellence in the sport.

Milestones always make us recollect and introspect the time gone by. George Bernard Shaw said, “We are made wise not by recollection of our past but by the responsibility for our future.” SSCA aims to deliver the highest quality of education and ensure holistic development of each child as they go into the world. We strive to be wise, and keep working on creating well-rounded individuals who have compassion and the will to make a difference in this world.
The humble beginnings are just a reminder of how far we come and also a source of inspiration for how much further we can go. Let us make every effort to never settle for anything that is less than the best. Let us take lessons from the magnificent Eagle that glides and soars high and is well known for his sharp-sighted skills. SSCA has never vacillated from its vision and mission. Our school has educated the children so that they may grow in moral values and achieve great things for mankind.
We should take strength and inspiration to be victorious through the strength of Almighty God who wants each one of us to be the best.

"One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar." - Helen Keller
(Meaning: When your sights are always set on achieving your absolute best and constantly growing and evolving as a person, it just becomes impossible to be content with being content.)

I feel extremely proud of students of SSCA who have demonstrated excellent academic progress and achievement and have become grounded in the important qualities of self-discipline, integrity, adaptability, resilience, leadership, and true compassion for others. Moulding impressionable minds and guiding them to greater heights and knowledge is a challenging task and persistent process with a great amount of responsibility. As educators and managers of this task, we ensure that our sincere efforts will bear fruit in the success of our students. We constantly evolve strategies and systems to fulfill their needs. The rich educational experience of our students will no doubt enable them to lead worthy lives of valuable achievements and accomplishments with the learning they have received at SSCA. We have overcome barriers and made significant changes in the recent past and would want to move to a higher level in the coming years. Let us join hands to create a history!
